About the Speaker
Perry Beaumont, Ph.D., is a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, and occasional Lecturer at Columbia University and Yale. He is the author of several books related to data science applications in business, and “Digital Finance: Big Data, Start-ups, and the Future of Financial Services” was nominated for Best Business Reference of the year. Perry has been bestowed with many industry honors inclusive of being named a Dataiku Neuron two years in a row, and receiving Dataiku’s Frontrunner award for contributions to AI and sustainability.
At Amazon, Perry works in the global real estate division, he previously served as a global Product Manager for AWS. He certified as an AI Educator and holds several AWS technical certifications. He is also the recipient of a U.S. patent for a novel process related to combining statistical distributions. Perry’s global financial services experience is extensive, inclusive of serving as the first Chief Data Scientist for a P&C MGA, Chief Strategist of asset management firms, and launching successful fintech startups. Perry has also led business teams in Europe and Asia, and served as the Global Head of Market Strategies at AXA while based in Paris, France.
Perry is passionate about GenAI, Geospatial analytics, and business applications of tech. He enjoys mentoring, and is an active volunteer in academic and business programs focused on advancing opportunities for youth, as well as initiatives related to civil rights and justice. Perry is also committed to ethical applications of data science, and his views are prominently featured in the award-winning documentary Data Science Pioneers.
